We did this styled shoot a few months back at Valley View Barn and Mills Events, which is a new wedding venue in Fort Valley! It was just published on Zola so we can now share the images we’ve been anticipating to share for so long!
I’ve done a lot of styled shoots in the past, but one of my favorites was a married couple who actually renewed their vows to each other during the shoot, and I’ve wanted to do another one like it ever since. When I met Tanner and Caroline I knew I wanted to photograph them, and when they mentioned that they didn’t get a lot of photos of the two of them together on their wedding day I knew we had to let them be the models for this styled shoot, and give them the opportunity to renew their vows to each other. They were more than eager to participate and I’m so glad they were able to do it and get dressed up again, have more photos of them together, and let them confess their love to each other all over again. Robin (with Make It Cake), even recreated the cake from their wedding! Tanner and Caroline are getting ready to move across to another country in the next few months, so I was honored to be able to do this for them before they stepped into this new season the Lord has called them in.
Another reason we wanted to do this styled shoot was to showcase this beautiful new venue and their budget friendly “Simple and Sweet Ceremonies” by having a styled shoot that was centered around what these weddings would provide each bride and groom. These weddings hosted by The Valley View Barn and Mills Events hopes to be an alternative to courthouse weddings specifically made for the budget bride in mind. These weddings would give each couple 2 and a half hours at the venue. Fifteen minutes would be for the couple to get ready in the bridal and groom suites, followed by a 15 minute intimate ceremony with up to 30 guests invited, a 1 hour reception with hors d’oeuvres and cake, as well as 1 hour put aside for photos provided by a professional wedding photographer. These weddings are only $1250.00 and include the venue, a day of coordinator, cake, hors d’oeuvres for up to 30 guests, champagne, china place settings, tables & chairs, decor, bluetooth music, officiant, decorative event programs for guests, a professional photographer, as well as flower arrangements (including the bouquet and boutonniere)! The couple would arrive to the venue with their wedding attire and hair and makeup done prior to the wedding. The venue hopes to book up to 6 of these pop up weddings through the day (not available on Saturdays), starting at 10:30am.
